Aprivate residence in Central Stockholm, where two apartment floors have become one home, A Sculptural Staircasejoins the levels and sets the rhythm for the rooms around it.
Throughout the apartment, the pace keeps changing. Each room has its own mood and story, shaped by subtle shifts in trim, colour and detail. In some rooms the original design is kept and simply deepened by material. Views open from room to room and daylight travels freely, revealing one setting after another. Furniture, art and objects are placed to be met slowly, each strengthening the mood around it.
In the bathroom, stone takes the lead. Large blocks of blue-veined marble hold both bath and vanity against dark walls, so the room feels built rather than furnished, with the weight of architecture.
Between the rooms, a quieter moment. Mirrored walls stretch the space in everydirection, so light and glimpses of the rest of the home keep returning.
